One of my favourite parts of writing and creating our online space and blog is sharing the creative peeps behind the products we stock. I’ve followed Zana online @zanaproducts for the past two years and seen the brand blossom and product range grow. They have created a really beautiful assortment of lifestyle products with signature bold prints that ooze simplicity and class.
We have chosen to stock the Zana Sling bags, clutches and pouches in store. They have just arrived and really are worth popping in to see and feel! I have snapped up a leather and fabric clutch for myself… a perk of the job!
Robyn has answered our ‘Feature on Creative’ questions. Grab a cuppa and read on to find out all about the ladies behind the Zana products, how it all began and their hopes and dreams for Zana.
1// How did your business begin? When / where / how did it all start?
Sue and Robyn Britz came together as a team to start Zana, in Cape Town, in 2012. Sue has many years of experience in print and production and Robyn focuses on the graphic design, branding and online side of things.
Sue graduated with a BA in fine Arts from Pietermaritzburg University. Robyn graduated from Vega in 2012 with a BA in Creative Brand Communications specialising in Multimedia Design.
They both draw on each other’s unique strengths and this is how Zana has grown. Sue handles all the ordering, finances, staff and production where Robyn is in charge of managing the team when it comes to design, social media and the online store.
