I took some time off in July to spend with Family, Kerryn took the reigns and welcomed all the school holiday visitors to The Ruby Orchard. So great to have a staff member that I can leave in full control of business while I am away, Kerryn is such a superstar! Here is what we got up to in July…
1// Kerryn propagated and potted the cutest little succulents for the store, our patio is full of the loveliest little dudes thriving in the sunny spot we chose for them. Prices start at R35… such a reasonable gift.
2// July has been a ‘Feature on Creative’ month! We have shared so many of our new suppliers with you! First up was the brilliant Zana ladies. We are now stocking their beautiful pouches and cute sling bags. We introduced you to Tamaloola, These little succulents in concrete pots are such a sweet little gift. Our necklace supplier Angela was next up on the blog, she told us all about her creativity and what inspires her. Finally we shared Phlo Studio with you, our new bright scatter cushion supplier. Go and have a read of these great interviews and meet the people behind the products!
3// The most beautiful oak table arrived in store this month, with industrial metal lathe legs, this will make a real statement in any home. There will only ever be one of these… so come and have a look! Wait until you see the piece coming out of the workshop today… it’s a beauty!
4// I designed a study and shared pics on the blog of my new at home workspace. I love the industrial mix of metal and wood. We made trestle legs and sprayed them matte back and added a raw oak top.
5// New ceramics arrived from Veldt. Possibly the cutest little rabbit ceramics you have ever seen have been flying out of the store!
6// A stack of window mirrors arrived in store. I love the cleaning and sanding process when turning old windows into statement pieces for your home. You never know what colours are going to come through. How many times that window has been painted tells a story of its life.
Can you believe August is here?? I am off to J’burg this month in search of pretty new stock, and dare I say it… to start stocking up for Christmas… yes… I said it!!
Thank you for supporting The Ruby Orchard, we appreciate every single one of you!
