The Ruby Orchard offers a carefully curated collection of furniture, home décor and gifts, featuring pieces made by South African artisans alongside products sourced from South African wholesalers bringing decor from across the globe.
Since opening our doors in February 2013, we have become known for timeless interiors, distinctive furniture and beautiful reclaimed timber products. Our collection combines classic design with character, offering pieces that suit both traditional and contemporary homes.
Alongside our carefully selected ranges, we specialize in bespoke mirrors, custom picture framing and handcrafted furniture made to order. We also restore and reimagine vintage furniture, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that cannot be found elsewhere.
We are passionate about supporting south African makers and continually seek out talented artisans and quality manufacturers whose products reflect originality, craftsmanship and enduring style.

Hello, I'm Hannah. Originally from the UK and now proudly calling South Africa home, I invite you to discover The Ruby Orchard, a thoughtfully curated home and lifestyle store in the heart of the beautiful KZN Midlands at Yard 41 in Howick.
Although my background is in Sports Science and Physical Education, my passion has always been creating beautiful interiors. Inspired by the charm of British country homes, historic farmhouses and timeless European design, The Ruby Orchard is a reflection of my love for homes that feel warm, welcoming and effortlessly elegant.
Every collection is carefully selected, from décor, ceramics and gifts to our exclusive range of handcrafted furniture, mirrors and picture frames, designed by me and made by our skilled in-house craftsmen. We believe in quality, originality and enduring style, offering pieces that are distinctive, beautifully made and designed to be enjoyed for years to come.
